It's about 1:30 in the morning in NYC and I really want a cookie. Now I know I have some Chips Ahoy in the cabinet. But I want a homemade cookie. Since it’s New York, I’m sure I could find a place that’s open right now. But I state again that it’s 1:30 in the morning. I’m not sure I want a cookie that bad! No, I’m sure I don’t want a cookie that bad. I will have a couple Chips Ahoy and call it a night. Maybe I’ll bake cookies tomorrow… hmmm.

In other news not related to my junk food cravings, I’m thinking about getting a pet of some kind. I’m not sure I want to get a dog or a cat because I’ll be traveling soon and I don’t think I could give it the kind of attention it would need right now. Maybe a fish or two? Or a hamster? Or a ferret? I don’t know… It was just a thought.

I think I’m gonna go and get that cookie now and then it’s off to bed. Night, bloggers!

So I decided to start a blog. Picking a name isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Hello Kayla and Kayla Bayla were my first choices but they were both taken. I had to get creative after that. i started thinking about movie titles and snack foods that would sound good with my name... then this one hit me! I loved E.T. when I was a kid so I decided on Kayla Phone Home. Clever, huh? I thought so.

I've never really kept a public blog like this before. Mostly because I never thought anyone would want to read it. People still may not want to read it but whatever. I made my decision to start this and I'm gonna stick with it... hopefully.

I'm on a little work vacation as of right now. I'm done with filming Eureka for the moment. The new season starts on the 10th *coughshamelessplugcough* and I don't start filming for Star Trek for a few months. It's nice to just be able to sit down and relax for a while. I still haven't decided what I'm going to do with all that extra time, though. Maybe I'll take up a hobby. I've always wanted to take the time to scrapbook. Or maybe I'll take a cooking class. Oooor maybe I'll learn sign language. Or maybe I'll just bum around the city... Whatever it is, I'm going to enjoy doing it and it will be relaxing, dammit!
